Former Edinburgh resident Ethel B. Wirey, 96, of Indianapolis died Tuesday morning at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born Dec. 17, 1891, in Bartholomew County to William and Mary (Ott) Stucker. She lived in Edinburgh until 15 years ago, when she moved to Indianapolis.
A homemaker, she was married to Harold Wirey, who died in 1960. She was a member of the Edinburgh United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Glendon True of Edinburgh and Jean McNurney of Indianapolis; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The Revs. Nan Chizmar and Don Wiltfong will officiate at the 10 a.m. service Friday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, Edinburgh. Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh.
