BETTY JUNE (WEDDLE) JONES Betty June (Weddle) Jones , 92, passed away January 13, 2018 at home with her family. The youngest child in a family of 14, Betty loved music and books and humor. She held fast to traditions and never found them inconvenient. In her 60's she retired from 20-plus years of work at the VA Medical Center in Kansas City, where she served as the chief social work secretary. Betty treasured her family and the friends she made at the VA and elsewhere. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Edward Richard Jones (d. 2015), 11 siblings, and is survived by her children Christopher Jones (Anne Chiarelli Jones ), Conrad Jones , Gretchen Jones (Steve Irvin), Shawn Palmer Jones and an expanding list of descendants; grandchildren Lindsay Jones Livingston, Tracy Jones (Aaron Stoessel), Scott Jones , Katie Jones Marischen (Chris Marischen), and one perfectly fine great grandson Frank Marischen. Family and close friends will gather in mid-April to celebrate her life. A funny creative, loving woman who will be greatly missed and who would appreciate it if you were all kind to each other.
