Fred C Herbert, 77, of 7507 Old Third Street Road, died Friday at his home. He was a retired employee of the old Warise Baking Co. and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Lynnhurst United Church of Christ, Christian Wayside Mission, Hazelwood Council No. 79 Daughters of America and Newman Post of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, the for mer Margaret Roberts; a stepson, Walter Pevlor; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Stewart; a brother, George Herbert; two grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd., with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Lynnhurst United Church of Christ Memorial Fund or Christian Wayside Mission.
