CAMPOBELLO, SC - December 10 - Charles Alfred Aiken, 60, died at 12:30 a.m. Monday in Spartanburg General Hospital after six weeks' serious illness.

Mr. Aiken, a son of the late Thomas and Rebecca Crain Aiken, was a veteran of World War I. He was an employee of the Pacific Mills in Lyman.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Prudence Morrow Aiken; one son, Charles Aiken, Jr., Campobello; one twin brother, Elfred Aiken, Duncan; two sisters, Mrs. Harvie West, Campobello, and Mrs. Fred Osborne, Oakland, California.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Campobello Baptist Church by the Rev. Tillman Lake and the Rev. Guy A. Lawson. Burial will be in the Motlow Creek Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Raymond, Robert and Charlie Aiken, Raymond Boyce Lee and Olin West.

The Men's Bible Class of the Campobello Baptist Church will be honorary escort.

The body is at the home and will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.
