Francis H. "Frank" Arnold, 81, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019, at his home. Born in Louisville, he was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, a veteran of the United States Army and a retired employee of Kitchen Kompact. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In his retirement years, he was actively involved in the daily lives of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Anna Arnold; siblings, Anna Mathis, John (Bud), George, Louis and Virginia (Ginny) Arnold. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Virginia E. Arnold; children, Ronda Schaefer (Jeff), Steven Arnold (Cindy) and Stephanie Weston (Eric); grandchildren, Courtney, Emilee, Alissa, Delaney, Ethan and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Maksim, Kinley, Zaiden and Steven; brothers, Victor, Alois & Charles Arnold; sisters, Loretta Walkama and Thelma Mills. He chose to give of himself towards the advancement of science. A celebration of his life will be held on October 5, 2019 at 11 A.M. at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, Louisville, KY 40219. Memorial donations may be made to Mass of the Air or to the U of L Department of Anatomical Science & Neurobiology at 132 E. Gray St., Louisville, KY 40202.
