Kerrville Mountain Sun, Kerrville, TX. June 2, 1922
Pioneer Citizen Dies.
Last Saturday, at his home in the Sunset Community, Kerr County, W.W. Wells, age 83, died after a few weeks illness.
Burial took place Sunday in Sunset Cemetery, attended by a concourse of relatives and friends.
Mr. Wells was one of the last of the Texas Rangers, and he also fought through the Civil War.
Grandpa Peterson of Kerrville served with him through that memorable war and can relate many interesting incidents of their association.
The wife of deceased died about two years ago, and there are left four sons and three daughters. There are many friends who extend condolence to them
Truly, a great and grand pioneer has passed away.
