Indiana State Board of Health Ceritificate of Death No. 3, page 109 for Jackson Township, Brown County records that John Sosby [sic], white male, age 5y 9m 7ds, died about 2 a.m. on January 17, 1902 in Jackson Township. The cause of death was "Influenza." He was the son of John H. Sosbe, born in Kentucky, and Emma Hanshew, birthplace unknown. The informant was Jerry M. Sosbe of Richards, and he was buried at the "Tommy Grave Yard" [Bear Creek Cemetery] in Brown County on January 18, 1902, Oliver Fesler of Morgantown, undertaker.
