Mary Harper, 65, of Cartersville passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019 at her residence.

Born in Ocilla, Georgia on March 2, 1954 she was the daughter of the late Eugene Bess and the late Lillie Barfield Bess. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charley Harper; her siblings, Kenny Bess, and Betty Moore; and her sister-in-law, Peggy Bess.

Survivors include her children, Leah Harper Bush (Brian), Charles Haley Harper, III, and Tyler Lee Harper; her grandchildren, Cole Crump, Griffin Woodall, Abigayle Harper, and Baylor Bush; and her brothers, Raymond Bess, Larry Bess, and Melvin Bess.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2019 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charley Harper, III, Tyler Harper, Brian Bush, Cole Crump, and Griffin Woodall.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mehta and the staff of the Northwest Georgia Oncology Center.
