He was a 1977 graduate of Irwin County High School. Mr. Bess was the owner and operator of Guy Pecan Company in Irwinville.
He is survived by his wife: Rhonda G. Bess, Irwinville; 1 son Casey Michael Bess; his mother: Lillie Bess, Irwinville; 3 brothers: Raymond, Larry and Melvin Bess; 2 sisters: Betty Moore and Mary Jane Harper; several nieces and nephews; 1 great niece and 1 great nephew.
