CAMP BUTLER NATIONAL CEMETERY∼Bradley was the son of Lester Earl and Mercy (Hadley) Compton. He married Norma Lee Tester on March 12, 1952 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Carolyn L. (Charles) Pierce and Diane K. (Wes) Stanley, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two sisters, Ellen Snyder and Genevieve (Edmond) Hill. He also leaves a daughter-in-law, Kimberly A. Compton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, William L. Compton on February 18, 2012 in Washington, four brothers and one sister.
He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.
Brad worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years, retiring on December 20, 1984. He worked as an expeditor in Building LL and later in Building SS, both in East Peoria.
