Mrs. Velva M. Addlesberger, 89, formerly of Mont Alto, widow of Robert G. Addlesberger, died at 11 a m Friday, Jan. 11, in the Franklin County Nursing Home. She had been in failing health for the past year and was admitted to the nursing home last July. She had been critically ill for a month.
Born in Mont Alto on April 19,1895, she was the daughter of the late David L and Hannah (Reed) Creager. With the exception of eight years when the family lived in Harrisburg, all of her life was lived in Mont Alto.
For a number of years, she was employed at the Mont Alto Shirt Factory and, prior to her retirement, she last worked at the Waynesboro Laundry.
Her husband died in April, 1932. She was a Protestant. Surviving are a son, Robert Addlesberger, Mont Alto, four grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, and a brother, John Creager, Mont Alto.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 11 30 a.m in Mt Zion Cemetery, with the Rev. David Drawbaugh officiating
