Mr. Homer Standerfer, 53 yeas old, a retired grocer living at 2929 North 13th Street in Kansas City, Kansas, was killed Wednesday afternoon, March 24, 1937, by the accidental discharge of a revolver at his home. It was believed he had been cleaning it when the accident happened. Until November Mr. Standerfer had operated a grocery at 13th Street and Roswell Avenue.

He left his widow, Mary; a son, Richard Leer, of the home; three daughters, Miss Helen Standerfer and Mrs. Thelma Trent, also of the home, and Mrs. John Connors of 6410 East 16th; four brothers, Emmett Standerfer of Frisco, Tex., Samuel Standerfer of Hobart, Okla., Richlieu Standerfer of Oklahoma City and James Standerfer of Cordell, Okla.; and three sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Griffith of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Otis M. Dickey of Lone Wolf, Okla., and Mrs. Elizabeth Rudd of Hobart, Okla.

Funeral services were held at the Immanuel Baptist Church at 1335 Quindaro Boulevard. Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery. George H. Long, Undertaker.
