Nora Myrtle Williams, daughter of David and Mary Bruce, was born in Bland, Virginia on March 21, 1886 and passed away suddenly at Nuckolls County Hospital at Superior, Nebraska early Thursday morning, July 24, 1969. She passed away at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 3 days.

She came with her parents from Virginia to Nora, Nebraska in 1902.

She was united in marriage to Henry Williams on January 24, 1906 at the home of her parents near Nora. They began their married life together on a farm 3 miles southwest of Nelson.

To this union six children were born of whom five survive. The first one died in infancy. The children are: Wilbur, Genevieve, Lois, Rita and Eileen.

They lived most of thier married life southeast of Nelson, until they moved to an apartment in Nelson where they lived for about one year. Mr. and Mrs. Williams moved into the Good Samaritan Home in March 1967.

Mr. Williams passed away on July 11, 1967.

Mrs. Williams continued to make her home in the Good Samaritan Village until the time of her passing.

She became a member of the Methodist Church in Nelson in 1924.

Mrs. Williams was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her deeply religious life was filled with many deeds of devotion to those dear to her and people far and wide.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her five children: Wilbur Williams of Nelson; Genevieve, Mrs. Charlie Keim of Nelson; Lois, Mrs. Jack Montgomery of Oak; Rita, Mrs. LeRoy Schott of Nelson and Eileen, Mrs. Paul Ernst of Hastings; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Mayme Horton of Nelson and Mrs. Nelle Kaufman of Hayward, California; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Williams was proceeded in death by her husband, Henry; her parents; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; 1 infant son and 1 infant great grandson.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 28, 1969 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Nelson, Nebraska with the Rev. L.A. Hansen officiating. Casket Bearers were: Virgil Williams, Lawrence Williams, Alvin Schott, Harold Keim, Larry Keim and Dick Schott. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Nebraska. Arrangments were made by Klawitter Funeral Home.
