The death of Grover Stoldt brings sadness to relatives and friends.

Grover Stoldt, son of George and Minnie Stoldt, was born on a farm adjoining Kelly, July 15, 1885, and departed this life July 7, 1928, at the hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 43 years. Here at Kelly, he grew to manhood.

He was married to Miss Grace Hanks. To this union one child was born, a daughter, who preceded him in death. Farming was his occupation in Nemaha county. When he later removed to Oklahoma, he entered the grocery business in Maramec and was thus engaged at the time of his death.

Grover Stoldt was a man of quiet demeanor, upright in character and esteemed by all who knew him. His memory, will be cherished by his many friends here. The funeral was held Sunday at 2:30 in Marnmec, at the U. B. church where he held his membership. He also belonged to the Masons and Odd Fellows order.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his faithful wife, mother, three sisters and three brothers. One sister, Alice Finch is deceased. His death was due to cancer of the pancreas and intestines. He was laid to rest in the cemetery at Quay, Oklahoma beside his little daughter, Bethel.
