He was a retired car inspector for the Pennsylvania Railroad; was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II; a member of the Marysville Church of God, where he was a member of the Senior Life; Perry Lodge #458, F&AM, Marysville, Consistory; and Marysville Golden Agers.
He was the widower of Addie Jane (Hammaker) Alandar.
Surviving are a daughter, Sue C. Harris; a grandson, David L. Harris, both of Duncannon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lester J. Alandar and Willis W. Alandar; and a sister Dorothy Kurtz.
Services were held in the Marysville Church of God, with Pastor Larry L. Hale officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Plainfield/Carlisle, Pa.
