Mr. Alandar was born in Marysville on June 27, 1932, the son of the late Elmer E. and Anna Radabaugh Alandar.
He was a retired Car Inspector at Conrail, Enola.
He was a member of The Duncannon Presbyterian Church and Senior Life of the Marysville Church of God.
Surviving are his fiancee, Eleanor L. Keller of Duncannon; 3 sons, Robert L. Bitting, husband of Judie Dettrey of Lewisberry, Richard A., husband of Brigitte Alandar, Stephen W., husband of Christina Alandar, both of Enola; 2 daughters, Deborah L., wife of Rick Newland, and Diana L. Gamble, both of Winter Garden, FL; brother, Elmer E. Alandar, Jr. of Marysville; 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy E. Bell Alandar; a brother, Lester Alandar; and a sister, Dorothy Kurtz.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the Duncannon Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Dr. Kris Poontajak officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Marysville. Viewing will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville.
