Clara Bailey Hanson, age 72 and a resident of 404 Flower Lane is Estill Springs, died Thursday, February 8 at Columbia Southern Tennessee Medical Center. She was a retired supervisor at Lanier Clothes. Mrs. Hanson was. a member of the Cowan First Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ellen Garner Butler of Estill Springs and Brenda Garner Tate of Winchester; one stepson, Jerrell Hanson of Roanoke, Virginia; two sisters, Cecil Johnson of Huntsville, Alabama, and Evelyn Edwards of Calabash, North Carolina; one brother, Jack Bailey of Cowan; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were John Gaul, Lawrence Jones, Ronnie Mayes, Leonard Jackson, Sammy Stephens, Clovis Elliott and Floyd Davis. Funeral services were held Friday at 2:30 p.m. from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Brother Tim Brown officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Gardens.
