Wayne was born in Mesick, Michigan, and had resided in the Muskegon area for most of his life. Wayne worked for CWC Texatron for many years, and was an avid fisherman on his boat he named "Why Name It?" On May 12, 1990, he married
the former Sally Van Oordt in Muskegon and she survives him along with two sons, Doug and Steven; Jody, his daughter, 9 grandchildren; 1 brother and 6 sisters. For any interested the Jewett Family (part of the Jewett Family of America) Wayne's paternal lineage, Wayne's Dad then backward: Wayne, Winford, George Webster, Daniel, Rufus, Ebeneezer, Benjamin, Benjamin, Nehemiah, Joseph and Edward Jewett.
