Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Spencer Funeral Home in Belpre for Thomas Denver Archer, 55, of Morgan Av., Belpre, who died Thursday evening in Camden-Clark memorial hospital following an extended illness.

The Rev. Keith Mann will officiate with burial to be in Rockland cemetery in Belpre.

Born in Monroe county, O., he was a son of the late Thomas D. and Luzetta Lindamood Archer. A resident of Belpre for the last 35 years, he owned and operated the Archer Gulf Oil Co. in Belpre and later the Gulf Station on Rt. 50 in Parkersburg.

He was a member of the Bethany Methodist Church, Belpre Lodge No. 609, F. and A.M. moose Lodge, American Legion No. 495 of Belpre and the JOUAM.

survivors include his widow, Mrs. Madelin Archer, one daughter Mrs. Betty K. Brookhart, at home; and three grandchildren.
