Born in Rockport, Wood County, he was a son of the late Israel & Lucinda Archer.
He came to Parkersburg in 1921 and he was an employee of the American Viscose Co., until his retirement in 1945.
He was a member of Stafford Masonic Lodge No. 300, F & A.M.
Survivors include one son, Thomas D. Archer, Jr., of Belpre; one granddaughter, Mrs. Betty Brookhart, also of Belpre; one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Archer was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Lucinda Archer, in 1952.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Vaughan funeral home with the Rev. Howard L. Underwood officiating. Burial will be in the Creighton Ridge Cemetery, Sycamore Valley, Ohio, at 2 p.m. Graveside services will be held by the Stafford Masonic Lodge.
Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of the service.
