She was a lifelong resident of McMinn County, and was the daughter of the late Gordon and Ada Dailey Kinser. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband; W.B. “Bill” Axley, A daughter; Sheila Axley Welker, Brothers; Gene, Kenneth, J.L. and Gordon “Shorty” Kinser, Sisters; Martha Grace McClurd and Mary Ellen Kinser. Sarah enjoyed reading, working cross word puzzles, sewing and cooking. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include son and daughter in law; David and Gina Axley of Knoxville.

Funeral services will be 7 pm Thursday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Bernard and Rev. Jack Bryan officiating. Burial will be 2 pm Friday in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eric, Kyle, and Tyler Axley; Reed Cross, Rob Lambert, Jim and Donnie Kinser.
