Mr. Orville Dewey Thompson, son of the late Steve and Desdia Hair Thompson, was born March 25, 1944 and went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2019 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 75 years.
He was united in marriage to Bonnie Helton Thompson on April 23, 1964, she survives this union.
Other survivors include; five children, Lisa (and Floyd) Smith, Cathy (and Gary) Loveless, David (and Norma) Thompson, Amber (and Jesse) Gibson and Aliceson Thompson; thirteen grandchildren, Amanda (and Dustin) Winchester, Alisha Foster and Josh, Lisa (and Mitchell) Wesley, Marisha Smith, Jacob (and Maryann) Smith, Tessa Foster (and Patric) , Austin Thompson, Isaiah Thompson, Derek Thompson, Cole Gibson, Victoria Gibson, Chasity Mitchell, and Kassondra Smith, eleven great grandchildren, Landen, Logan, Savannah, Addison, Michael, Sophia,& Serenity, Olivia, Lillian, Julius, and Malachi; two brothers, Roy (and June) Thompson and Wayne (and Myrtle) Thompson, and two sisters, Joanne Thompson and Donna Jean (and Gayle) Pitman.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; one daughter, Twilia Foster; one brother, Harmon Thompson and six sisters, Shirley Bray, Viola Martin, Bonnie Reed, Letha Lowery, Violet Haynes, and Beulah Casada.
Mr. Thompson was a member of the Neeley's Creek Baptist church and last attended the Mt. Union Baptist Church. He was a hard working, generous loving man. He was an avid UK fan and he loved coon hunting, fishing, camping, riding and racing motorcycles and throwing horseshoes. He treasured spending time with his family. He was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery.
