She was survived by her sons, Harmon Thompson of Somerset, Kentucky, Roy Thompson of Ferguson, Kentucky, Orville Thompson of Burnside, Kentucky, and Wayne Thompson of Crossville, Tennessee; her daughters, Betty Duff of Pineville, Bonnie Reed of Newport, Beulah Cassada of Hopkinsville, Letha Lowery of Tateville, Shirley Bray of the Jugornot community, Violet Haynes of Ferguson, and JoAnne Thompson of Somerset, Kentucky; her brother, Robert Hair of Lexington, Kentucky; her sisters, Bessie Noe of Loraine, Ohio, Gertrude Taylor of Mayer, Arizona, Rose Grimm of Newport, and Ella Childers of Ohio; 31 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Joseph Hair and Amanda (Goodin) Hair; her husband, Steve Thompson; her stepson, Estus Thompson; and her sisters, Irene Helton and Ollie Spears.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 13, 1989 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Reverend Edmond VanHook and Reverend Orville Cook officiating.
