Christine Akers Cahill, 87, of Collinsville, passed away on May 4, 2019 at Sovah Health Martinsville. She was born on March 29, 1932 in Patrick County to Elmer Akers and Clora Stone Akers. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Prillaman and Coleen Stone.
She met the love of her life, Jesse and later married him on May 7, 1949. She joined Fort Trial Christian Church in the early 50’s where she had been a Sunday school teacher, Elder and Deacon. She was a realtor with Cahill Real Estate where she was a million dollar producer and a former Girl Scout leader.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse D. Cahill, Sr.; two sons, Dan (Beth) Cahill and Curtis (Bonnie) Cahill; daughter, Robin (Clement) Goodman; five grandchildren; five brothers, Franklin Akers, Fred Akers, Russell Akers, David Akers and Dennis Akers; a sister, Judy Meece.
Burial will be in Henry Memorial Park.
