MARION - Mrs. Betty Rowell Shelley, 90, widow of William David Shelley, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Smith-Collins Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Shelley was born in Marion County, a daughter of the late Julius D. Rowell and Mrs. Annie G. Rowell. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marion.
Surviving are tow sons, E. J. Shelley and Laurie C. Shelley, both of Marion; a daughter, Mrs. Irving J. Foster of York; three half sisters, Mrs. Arthur Shelamer and Miss Mary Rowell, both of Fort Myers, Fla. and Mrs. Bonnie R. Corey of Athens, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
