Daughter of James C. and Sallie Turbeville Glisson. Annie married Julius David Rowell, who was living next door at his sister Elizabeth Rowell Dozier's house.

"She was a pretty lady with coal black hair that was so curly that you couldn't tell which end was growing out of her head. They lived in Britton's Neck, SC, near Farrel Lake, and their children attended Nebo school." - David Boatwright

MARION - Last Monday, March 20th, Mrs. Annie Rowell, in the 38th year of her age, passed away. She joined the church and was happily converted in her early womanhood. She was the wife of Mr. Julius Rowell.

She leaves six children and a host of friends to mourn her loss. The remains were interred at Souls Chapel Cemetery on the following day. Rev. G. R. Whittaker conduction the funeral services.

May God's richest blessing rest upon each of the bereaved family and may they meet her in glory where parting is no more. - W. H. W.
