CARTHAGE- Services for Vonnie Lee Peace,93,of Carthage will be held at 2:00 p.m. today at Hathorn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Cole and E.V. Cureton officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. Mrs. Peace, was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was born to James Taylor Wilson and Ida Cornelia O'Banion on June 14, 1907. She died Wednesday, May 29, 2001.

Music for the service included: "Precious Memories", "One Day At A Time", & "Beulah Land".

Vonnie grew up in the Neuville, Texas area and later moved with her family to Louisiana.

She married James Hollis Peace, son of John Cleveland Peace and Rosella McCray from Shelby County, Texas. After her marriage to Hollis and the birth of her first child, she moved back to Panola County, Texas. She lived and worked in the Carthage, Texas area the rest of her life.

She was the mother of nine children:
Gertrude, Nellie Faye, Jimmie Lee, Jerry, James Hollis, Bobbie Ann, Sandra Sue, Billy B. & Jack L. Peace.

Aunt Vonnie Lee was a wonderful Christian lady and worked hard all of her life. She was loved by everyone who knew her.
