Earla E. Binkley Keefer was born on October 10, 1929 in Tomstown, Union Township, to the late Robert S. and Jennie Boltz Binkley. She entered into eternal rest on February 23, 2019 at the age of 89 years 4 months and 13 days. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Keefer who died in July 1981.
She is survived by her daughters Marian Bernstein, wife of Thomas of Jonestown, Pa. and Charlotte McDonel widow of Lloyd of Goodyear, Az.; grandsons Damian Bernstein of Jonestown, Pa, Alexander Bernstein and his wife Nicole of Palmyra, Pa. and Alan McDonel and his wife Leila of Goodyear, Arizona; 7 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; 8 great-great grandchildren and her sister Ernestine Ney of Carlisle, Pa. in addition to several nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased, in addition to her parents and husband, by her six brothers, Charles, Clifford, Clyde, Lloyd, Kermit, and Kenneth Binkley and her sister Earlena Bordner Hepler as well as 2 grandsons, Terry and Michael McDonel, 2 nephews and a niece.
She had worked for many years at Verdelli Farms having retired from there. She also worked at Penn National Race Course and Fort Indiantown Gap.
