Ollie Jean Franklin was born on July 24, 1934, in Montgomery, Alabama, the daughter of Ethel and Mr. Franklin. She had two sons and two daughters with William Henry Barrett. She died on July 7, 1992, in Lakeland, Florida, at the age of 57. She was proceeded in death by her mother Ethel Laney and one son William. Survivors include her half-sister Catherine Youngblood, also her sister Josephine Hallmark, One brother Frank Franklin and her other three children and grandchildren.
