John F.was one of ten children bn to John B. and Minerva(Owens)Barnett. He married Mary Jane Reynolds, 29 Oct. 1871, in Lee Co. MS. All their children, Luvada, Robert Lee, Wm. Henry, M.F., Susan, Sarah, & twins, Ida Jane and John Ivy, were bn in MS. [Wm. Henry & M.F. d. young]. They came to Indian Territory, prob in the 1890's, through TX into Love Co. OK, and lived in Pontotoc and Hughes Counties.

[Note: Thanks to a few surviving grandchildren, and many great-grands, we contributed funds to buy them a double tombstone for their unmarked graves.]
