Margaret graduated in 1941 from Sulphur High School, Sulphur, Oklahoma. During World War II she worked at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. She moved to the Los Angeles area sometime in the 1940s, where she later met Richard (Dick) Sumner Parkhurst. They were married August 6, 1949, in Los Angeles, CA, and were the parents of one child, John Paul (Johnny) Parkhurst, born February 27, 1951 in Los Angeles County, CA, and died November 20, 1995, in Reseda, CA. Margaret and Dick were divorced in approximately 1956 in CA. She was employed many years in the aircraft industry in the Los Angeles area and was a very active union member. She is survived by one brother, five sisters, four sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held on January 2, 2015, in the home of her longtime friend, Eunice Johnson of Granada Hills, CA.
