Mrs. Carrie May Davis, 106 Philadelphia Place, died in the Canonsburg Hospital, April 1, 1955, at 3:40 a. m. following an illness of one year.
Born in Oakland, Md.. on March 5, 1888, she came to Canonsburg in 1915. Mrs. Davis was the wife of Ernest C. Davis and the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Evans Wilson. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Surviving besides her husband, are the following children: Harold P. Davis, local barber; Ernest William, Canonsburg: Robert Earl, Canonsburg. and Mrs. Helen Marie Landock, Meadowlands. She also leaves four granchildren and the following sisters and brothers: Thomas Wilson, Renton, Pa.; Asa Rhinchart, Monesson; Mrs. Pete Kearney, Hardwick. Pa.; Mrs. Cora Cox, Zanesville. O.. and Mrs. Betty Smith, Norfolk. Va.
Friends are being received at at the Hinton and Griffith Funeral Home where services will be held Monday, April 4, at 2 p. m. in charge of the Rev. H. Carl Buterbaugh. First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oak Spring Cemetery.
Hinton and Griffith are the funeral directors.
