J.C. King, age 93, of Seymour, Texas, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Seymour. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, November 8, 2018, at the Seymour Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Russell Roberts, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

J.C. was born April 8, 1925 in Seymour, Texas, to Harlin and Lillie Harleston King. He married Mary Dell Duchne on January 29, 1949 in Seymour. She passed away September 26, 2007. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the Farmer's Co-op after 40 years.

He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Hernandez of Seymour, Texas; 2 sons, Odell McGee of Amarillo, Texas and David King of Seymour, Texas; one brother, Robert "Bud" King of Seymour, Texas; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, a son, Cecil King; 3 brothers, James Bradford, Harlin King, Jr. and Willie King, and by one sister, Rachel Morgan.

Visitation will be held at 6 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
