G. A. Dow Dies, Rites Wednesday
Port Haywood - George Albert Dow, 57, of Port Haywood died Monday morning in a Newport News hospital after a short illness.
He was operator of Woodstock Service Station here.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Thelma Owens Dow of Port Haywood; foster daughter, Miss Peggy Anne Owens of Port Haywood; two brothers, Capt. James E. Dow of Baltimore and Samuel E. Dow of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a nephew.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral Home, Mathews, with the Rev. Herbert E. Hall, pastor of Bethel-St. Matthew Methodist Charge, officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Paul Methodist Church Cemetery annex at Susan.
Pallbearers will be Howard Clements, John Lee Hunley, Louis Jagger, Mason Pugh, Malcolm Owens and William B. Smith.
