Funeral services for Mr. Gilbert Howell will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Bentley Church of Christ with Bill Nettles officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bentley, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Howell, 84, of Bentley, entered eternal rest on Friday October 19, 2018 at his residence.
Gilbert was a native of Lucedale, MS. He was a retired lifelong minister, retiring from Jackson Street Church of Christ, Alexandria. He enjoyed reading and collecting Biblical Books. Gilbert will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Howell is preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Annie Howell.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of sixty-three years, Betty Lou Howell of Bentley; one daughter, Denecia Gutheridge and her husband Willy of Roland, AR.; two sons, Bobby Howell and his wife Shirley of Bentley, Terry Howell and his wife Sandy of TX. and four grandchildren.
