Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Lou Howell will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Bentley Church of Christ, with Reverends Bill Nettles and Larry Paisley officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bentley, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mrs. Howell, 83, of Bentley, entered eternal rest on Monday, June 24, 2019, in her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Natchez, Mississippi, in 1935 and attended school in Montgomery, Louisiana. She was a retired claims processor supervisor for the State of Louisiana and a minister's wife. She loved working in her yard and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Dottie Laird and her husband, Gilbert Howell.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include two sons, Bobby Howell and his wife, Shirley, of Bentley and Terry Howell and his wife, Sandy, of TX.; one daughter, Denecia Gutheridge and her husband, Willis, of Roland, AR.; three brothers, Mac Laird and his wife, Johnnie, of Williamsburg, VA., Red Brunson, of Tioga and Wayne Laird and his wife, Clara, of Baton Rouge; one sister, Shirley Lipscomb and her husband, Larry, of Marion, VA. and four grandchildren.
