Visitation and services will be held October 17 at Brooks Funeral Home at 12:30 pm. Burial will be at 2:00 pm at Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
Willa was born in Bedford, IA on September 8, 1927 to Bert and Anna Brumfield.
She married Paul King on April 3, 1946.
She was a seamstress at Van Ginkel’s for many years.
She loved her flower garden and sewing, and was quite a stain glass artist and cook.
Willa is survived by her husband, Paul of 72 years; sons, Lou King (Pat), Larry King (Karen); grandsons, Sean King, Paul Phillips (Lisa); great grandchildren, Destiny King, Preslea King, Sean King Jr, Allison Phillips; sister-in-laws, Doris Brumfield, and Naomi Brumfield; and extended family.
Willa was preceded in death by her daughters, Pauletta King, Cheryl Phillips; her son-in-law Greg Phillips; and her brothers, Elvin, Elgin, and Ronnie Brumfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Kavanagh House on 56th Street, Des Moines.
