She was born November 11, 1904 in Farmington, Utah, the daughter of Armond T. and Clara Sanders Rose. She married Dr. Richard P. Middleton in New York City on September 9, 1929. She was a graduate of the University of Utah, a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, and she taught high school in Springville, Utah and Marblehead, Massachusetts. She served as president of The Town Club, president of the Salt Lake County Medical Auxiliary, and chairwoman of the Board of the Sarah Daft Home.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Richard G. Middleton (Jayne) and her daughter, Dr. Mary Dahl (Dr. Douglas), seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her older sister, Hortense R. Beers of Ogden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Richard P. Middleton, on March 8, 1995 and by her daughter, Dr. Anne Middleton Stearn.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 5, at 11 a.m., in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave. and N St. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East So. Temple, Monday evening 6-8 p.m.
