Cora Abigail DeWeese, 73, of Danville, died at 8:05 p.m. Sunday (April 2, 1989) at USMC, Logan Campus.

She was born June 25, 12915, in Danville, Illionis, the daughter of Ephriam and Ethel (Harvey) Freed. She was married to Don A. DeWeese on Aug. 19, 1933, in Danville. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1968.

Mrs. DeWeese was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was an Avon representative for 31 years and a member of the Avon's Presidents Club.

She is survived by her mother of Danville; a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Donna) Cox of Sarasota, Fla.; three sons, Don of Grand Haven, Mich., Ronnie of Escondido, Calif., and Larry of Westville, Ill.; three brothers, Gene, Marvin and Melvin, all of Danville; a sister, Mrs. Lance (Josephine) Hamilton of Floral City, Fla.; six grand-children. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Phoebe and Mary Elizabeth Freed and one brother, Francis Leora Freed.

Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Dan Gensch officiating. Burial: Spring Hill Cemetery; Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel; Memorials: American Cancer Society.
