Thomas E. Unthank, 78 of Springfield, died on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Evenglow Inn in Pontiac, IL.
He was born November 4, 1939 the son of Richard Fleetwood and Clara Fifield Unthank. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jo Ann and seven siblings.
Survivors are his children, Christine Marie Hughes, of Chatham, IL; Gregory Allen (Michelle) Unthank of Pontiac, IL; Patricia Ann (Gerald) Lorton of Springfield, IL; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; four siblings, Shirley Steller of Springfield, IL, Wilma Goss of Bristow, OK, Clarence Unthank of Springfield, IL and Joyce McCaw of Dixon, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his beloved cat, Fred.
Thomas was a mechanic for the State of Illinois.
Visitation: 10 am – 12 pm, Friday, September 7, 2018, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 12:00 pm, Friday, September 7, 2018, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Brad Ferris officiating.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
