Robert Hudson, 71, of 532 Lafayette Rd., Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., died May 18, 2004, at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, Tenn.
He was a farmer, a logger and a veteran.
Born in Macon County, Tenn., he was a son of the late Bud and Vera (Donoho) Hudson and the husband of Mary (Bush) Hudson, who survives. They were married Nov. 19, 1956.
Other than his wife, survivors include three sisters and a brother-in-law — Ruby McCue, Louisville; Wilma Russell, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.; and Anna and Alvin Burgess, Elizabethtown; three brothers and six sisters-in-law — Lovell and Jean Hudson, Curtis & Jean Hudson, and Nell Hudson, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; Ralph and Glenna Hudson and Nola Mae Hudson, all of Lafayette; and Vetrice Hudson, Greenwood, Ind.
A son, Kevin Lee Hudson; four brothers, Doyle, John, Roy and Billy Dowell Hudson; a sister-in-law, Hilda Mai Hudson; and two brothers-in-law, Kirk Russell and Buddy McCue, all preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on May 21 at the Phillip Anderson and Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., with E.C. Meadows officiating. Burial was at the Anderson and Son Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers were Lanny, Prentice, Joe and Rocky Hudson; Tony Russell; Jason Gregory; and Greg and Jeff Bilbrey. Honorary pallbearers were Landon and Logan Anderson; Russ, Jeffery, Brandon, Josh and Jason Hudson; Jr. and Billy McCue; Brantley Russell; Tim Agee; Tom Fultz; Brent Bilbrey; Troy Williams; Derek Smith; Todd and Lee Dickens; and Comer Russell.
