Mary (McCrea) Hanna
Mary McCrea was born circa May 1743, the daughter of Reverend James McCrea and Mary (Graham) McCrea of Lamington, Bedminster, Province of New Jersey.
About 1759, Mary married a Physican/ Reverend John Hanna, son of John Hanna and Jane (Andre) Hanna in Lamington, Bedminster, New Jersey.

Mary McCrea was married in 1762 to Rev. John Hanna, at Bethlehem, Hunterdon county. Mr. Hanna was a physician as well as a minister. (Blanes's Medical History of Hunterdon County.)

Mary and James were the parents of thirteen children, six of whom died in infancy.
Those children known to grow up were:
James Hanna, who graduated at Princeton, in 1777, married Mary Harris Stewart, daughter of John and Hannah Stewart of Newtown. Moved to Frankfort, Kentucky
John Andre Hanna, born 1761, died July 23, 1805, at Harrisburgh, Pa. Graduated Princeton in 1782, married Mary Read Harris, daughter of John Harris, founder of Harrisburgh, Pennsylvania
Catherine Hanna, married Dr, Samuel G. Tolbert of New York City, New York
Mary Hanna, married Dr. Holmes, of Mansfield, Sussex county, New Jersey
William R. Hannah, graduated Princeton in 1790
Sarah Hanna, adopted by her uncle, Dr. Stephen McCrea, married Colonel Josiah Payne.
