EAST CARBON/PRICE–Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Roxella Behunin Gordon, age 94, passed away April 27, 2005 with loved ones at her side.

Born Dec. 3 1910 in Ferron to Joseph H. and Mary Zwahlen Behunin.

Married Shefton Gordon Oct. 4, 1930 and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Roxie attended East High School, graduated from Carbon High and attended the College of Eastern Utah where she studied Fine Arts. She was a talented artist and produced exquisite and unique paintings.

Roxie was a dedicated chorister in all organizations in the ward in East Carbon and more recently at the LDS First ward in Price. She had been residing at the Heirloom Inn where she had many friends whom she greatly enjoyed.

Survived by three sisters, and two daughters, Lee Gordon; Mary K. Gordon (James L.) Liddiard, both of Salt Lake City; 13 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Shefton Gordon; daughter, Carol Jean Gordon Miller; seven sisters; three brothers; great- granddaughter.

Funeral service held Mon. May 2, East Carbon LDS Ward Chapel. Interment, Price City Cemetery at 3 p.m. under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.

In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions made to the scholarship program sponsoring a student in Fine Arts at the College of Eastern Utah in the memory of Roxella Behunin Gordon.
