91-year-old Fairfield, Illinois resident Wendel Acrey
died at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday May 8, 2013 at
Wayfair Restorium in Fairfield, Illinois. He was a
farmer. Wendel was a Word War II veteran and a 50
year member of the Fairfield American Legion Post.
Wendel was born February 14, 1922 in Monticello,
Kentucky to W.G. and Lilly Tharston Acrey. He was
never married.
Survivors include his caregiver Sue Taylor of Fairfield,
Illinois as well as several nieces and nephews.
Wendel was preceded in death by his parents, 2
brothers, and 3 sisters.
