Mr John David Phillips of Rte 2, Stockbridge, Ga, died Feb 3, 1965, at the age of 85 in a private hospital after several weeks of illness. Surviving are daughters, Mrs Leanna Reagan, Mrs Raleigh H Love, Stockbridge; Mrs Lillian White, Atlanta; Mrs Claude McAteer, Austell; Mrs J R Love, Savannah; daughter-in-law, Mrs Evelyn Phillips, Stockbridge; sons, Mr W M Phillips and Mr Clifford Phillips, Stockbridge; brother, Mr E J Phillips, Rex; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, Feb 5, at 2 o'clock from Stockbridge Baptist Church, with the remains placed in state at 1 o'clock from Stockbridge Baptist Church, with the remains placed in state at 1 o'clock. Rev J C Parham will officiate. Interment, Stockbridge Cemetery. Pallbearers please meet at the church at 1:45. D T Carmichael & Son.
