Anna (sometimes called Ann) married twice. She was 14 years old when she married her first husband, William Walk. They were married in Carter Co., KY on 12/20/1858. And were blessed with 3 children: Benjamin F. W., Isabelle and Jacob Shaden Walk. Wm died between 5/1866 and 6/5/1870 when the census was taken.
Ann had two children before she remarried. They were Hugh in 1870 and Angeline (better known as Anna) in 1872.
Anna's 2nd husband was Alamander Wolf (Woolfe). They married on 4/17/1873 in Jackson Co., Ohio. All 4 of their children were born in Lawrence Co., Ohio.. Matilda Alice (better known as Alice M.), Effie, Rosetta and Edward Wolf.
In regards to her birth date. On June 8th Ann told the 1900 census taker she was 55 years old born in 7/1844. Had the census taker come a month later, July, she would have said she was 56 years old and born during 7/1844. Ann also said she had had 9 children but 1 had died. It was her son, Hugh, that had died.
Anna Wolf who lived in Eifort, Lawrence Co., Ohio died in Jackson Co., Ohio from asthma on 7/24/1901 at the age of 59 and 20 days old. She was actually 57 years old. Her correct birth date is 7/4/1844.
Angela Pierce found the "Wolf" headstone next to Benjamin Walke's in the Monroe Cemetery. Not knowing who it was made for, she went to the library and found the old burial records for the cemetery. Turns out it was for Anna Wolf. She copied the page for proof.
