Martha S. Wright, age 77 of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018. She was born August 31, 1940 in Carroll County, daughter of the late, Tillman Lee Stogner and Annie Olivia Styles Stogner. She worked for Bellsouth Company for 30 years as an operator and controller, and worked in the lunchroom at Mt. Zion Elementary School for 10 years. She was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Ruben Huddleston, J.B. Huddleston, Jerry Stogner, Bobby Stogner, and Harold Huddleston; and three sisters, Hilda Abercrombie, Christine Allen and Ann Palmer. She is survived by her children, John and Shelia Wright of Bowdon, Don and Susan Wright of Carrollton, and Glenda Wright of Carrollton; sister, Mary Ward of Rosenburg, TX; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth and Drew Daniel, Olivia Wright, and Rachel Wright. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Indian Creek Baptist with Rev. Ralph Caldwell officiating. Her body will be placed in the church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Victor Carroll, Larry Huddleston, Kevin Ward, Steve Harding, Fred Sparks, and Mike Stogner.
