Hilda Jo Stoger Abercrombie, age 82, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Saturday morning, August 29, 2015 at Tanner Medical Center. She was born December 12, 1932 in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Tillman Lee Stoger and the late Olivia Styles Stogner. She was retired from BellSouth with over ten years of service and was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Franklin Abercrombie; sister, Christine Allen; brothers: Harold Huddleston, Jerry Stogner, J. B. Huddleston, and Reuben Huddleston. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Kathy & Steve Harding of Carrollton and Karen & Donnie Morris of Tallapoosa; sisters: Martha Wright of Carrollton, Mary Ward of Houston, Texas, and Ann Palmer of Carrollton; brother, Bobby Stogner of Bowdon; grandchildren: Christy Rabun, Danny Attaway, and Ricky Attaway, all of Carrollton; and great grandchildren: Glen Harding, Timber Wood, Corey Duffey, Timothy Duffey, Hannah Harding, Jay Harding, Mary Katelyn Wood, Maddie Wood, Samuel Wood, and Patrick Attaway. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from Indian Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Caldwell and Rev. Paul Weidner officiating. Mr. John Wright will serve as the eulogist and music will be rendered by Bryant Hand and Eddie Hulsey. Those serving as pallbearers will be John Wright, Don Wright, Larry Huddleston, Michael Stogner, Kevin Ward, Chad Wood, and Glen Harding. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
