Robert M. Stogner, age 79 of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017. He was born September 01, 1937 in Bowdon, Georgia to the late Tillman L. Stogner and Annie Olivia Styles Stogner. He was a Mt. High School graduate and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He worked for Trent Tube as a welder for more than 30 years and was Baptist by Faith. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Joyce Laverne Tidwell Stogner; sister, Hilda Abercrombie; sister, Christine Allen; and brothers, J.B. Huddleston, Jerry Stogner, Ruebin Huddleston, and Harold Huddleston. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Michael and Regina Stogner of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and David Miles of Carrollton; his beloved companion, Emogene Wright, and her children and grandchildren, Dennis and Andrea Wright (Edwin and Mackenzie) of Bremen, and Gail and Rick Parmer (Seth) of Bowdon; sisters, Mary Ward of Rosenburg, TX, Martha Wright of Carrollton, and Ann Palmer of Carrollton; and one grandchild Eli and Lindsey Miles. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Pastor Darrell Teal officiating. Interment will follow in Indian Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Caldwell. Those serving as pallbearers will be John Wright, Don Wright, Butch Carroll, Larry Huddleston, Dennis Wright, Steve Harding, Kevin Ward, and Eli Miles. Don Wright will play TAPS.
