Ernest Eberhardt, Route 1, Cornell passed away Friday afternoon.
Mr Eberhardt was born January 17, 1894 in Springdale, Wis. He was married to Aleda Moeller June 5, 1918 at Reinbeck, Ia. The resided in Reinbeck for 5 years, then moved to Watertown, Ia., Madison, Eau Claire, Elk Mound, Kenosha, moving to Cornell in 1954.
He was a Veteran of World War I, serving from July 28, 1918 to June of 1919, being overseas for nine months. He saw action in the Argonne Forest.
Mr Eberhardt was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; Chippewa County Barracks, and the Elk Mound Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, Aleda; two daughters, Mrs. Foy (Helen) Canfield, Route 3, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Alex (LaVonne) Mahalko, Gilman; three sons, Raymond of Edgerton, Wis., Robert of Chippewa Falls; and SFC Richard Eberhardt serving with the United States Armed Forces; six sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Gilman (Rose) Avang, Mr. Horeb; Mrs. Albert (Ann) Warner, Madison; Mrs. John (Clara) Wild, Madison; Mrs. Mary Bigler and Mrs. Bertha Bigler, both of New Glarus; Mrs. Rudy (Leona) Wuetchrick, Verona, Wis., Edward of Madison and Fred of Auburn, New York, 17 grand-children and seven great grand-children. One daughter and one brother preceded him in death.
The Cornell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services have not been set, pending arrival of his son Richard who is enroute from Korea.

Funeral services for Ernest Eberhardt, Route 1, Cornell, will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Cornell, with Rev. John Sperestra officiating. Burial will be in the Cornell Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Cornell Funeral Home, and at the church before the service on Wednesday.
